Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 6, 2025
Welcome to RowRocket! This Privacy Policy explains how RowRocket ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website and services. We are committed to maintaining the privacy and security of your data.
1. Our Commitment to Your Privacy
We will **never sell or share your personal information** with third parties for marketing or any other purposes not directly related to providing our services. Your trust is paramount to us.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Profile Information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address directly from your Google account via the Google OAuth process. This information is used solely to identify you within our system and facilitate communication.
- Authentication Tokens: We collect and securely store encrypted Google and Slack authentication tokens. These tokens are essential for RowRocket to connect to your Google Sheets and Slack workspaces to provide the core functionality of our service.
- Workspace Data: Information related to your workspace, such as the workspace name and its associated Slack connection status, is stored to enable and manage your integrations.
- Integration Details: We store details about the integrations you configure, including the Google Spreadsheet ID, sheet name, Slack channel, and message templates.
- Billing Information: When you create an account, we create a customer record with our payment processor, Stripe. This record includes your name, email address, and an internal reference to your RowRocket user ID. If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe will collect and store your payment method details directly. We do NOT directly store your full credit card numbers or sensitive financial information on our servers.
- Usage Data (Limited):
- IP Addresses: Your IP address may be logged by our server for general security monitoring and troubleshooting purposes. These IP addresses are not associated with your individual user account.
- Activity Logs: We maintain audit logs of certain actions within your workspace (e.g., creating/editing/deleting integrations, inviting/removing members) to provide transparency and for compliance purposes.
- Session Information: We use cookies solely for managing your user session, keeping you securely logged in as you navigate our website.
We do not collect sensitive personal data such as health information or detailed financial information (beyond what's automatically linked to your customer record by our third-party payment provider, Stripe). We do not collect browser or device information.
3. How We Collect Your Information
- Directly from Third-Party Services: Your name, email, and Google authentication tokens are collected from Google when you sign up or log in using Google OAuth. Slack authentication tokens are collected when you connect your Slack workspace. Your customer record (name, email) is created with Stripe during account creation.
- Through Your Actions: Information about your integrations (e.g., sheet IDs, channel IDs, message templates) is collected when you configure them through the RowRocket interface. Payment method details for paid plans are collected directly by Stripe when you complete a subscription.
- Automatically:
- IP addresses are collected automatically by our server logs.
- Session cookies are automatically set when you log in.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information exclusively for the following purposes:
- Providing and Maintaining Our Services: To operate, deliver, and improve the core functionality of RowRocket, including connecting to Google Sheets and Slack, processing integrations, and managing your workspace and subscriptions.
- Communication: To communicate with you regarding your account, service updates, and invitations (e.g., sending invitation emails).
- Security and Compliance: To ensure the security of our services, prevent fraudulent activity, and comply with legal obligations.
- Customer Support: To assist you with any inquiries or issues you may encounter while using RowRocket.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
RowRocket uses cookies strictly for **session management** to keep you logged in securely. We do not use cookies for analytics, personalization, or advertising. We do not use any third-party cookies.
6. Sharing Your Information with Third Parties
We **do not sell or share your personal information** with third parties. The only instances where your data interacts with third-party services are directly for the functionality of the RowRocket application:
- Google APIs: We interact with Google APIs (e.g., Google Sheets, Google Drive) to access your specified spreadsheets based on your integrations. This interaction is solely for the purpose of fetching data from your sheets as configured by you.
- Slack APIs: We interact with Slack APIs to send messages to your designated Slack channels as configured by your integrations. This is done to deliver notifications as per your settings.
- Stripe: We use Stripe to process payments and manage your subscriptions. When you create an account, your name and email are used to create a customer record with Stripe. If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment method information (e.g., credit card details) is collected and processed directly by Stripe. RowRocket does not store your full payment card details. Stripe's use of your information is governed by their Privacy Policy, which you can review at stripe.com/privacy.
- Email Sending: We use Google's SMTP services (via our Gmail account) to send invitation and notification emails on your behalf.
We do not use third-party analytics services.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as you maintain an active RowRocket account.
Account Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile page. Upon account deletion, all your associated data, including integrations and personal information, is **immediately and permanently deleted** from our systems. This also includes requesting the deletion of your customer record from Stripe, where legally permissible and technically feasible, if no active subscriptions or payment obligations remain.
We currently have no legal obligations that require us to retain your data for a specific period after account deletion.
8. Data Security
We implement robust security measures to protect your information:
- Encryption: All authentication tokens (Google and Slack) are encrypted before being stored in our database. Payment information is handled by Stripe and encrypted in transit via SSL/TLS.
- Secure Communication: All web traffic to and from RowRocket is secured using SSL/TLS encryption.
- Network Security: Our server is protected by a firewall.
- Access Controls: Access to your data within our systems is restricted to authorized personnel who require it to perform their duties.

As a RowRocket user, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to Deletion: You have the right to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time through the functionality provided on your profile page.
- Access/Correction: Your profile information (name, email) is provided directly by Google and is not editable within RowRocket. If you need to correct this information, please do so through your Google account settings.
- Data Portability: There is no direct function for porting your user data at this time.
10. Age Restriction
RowRocket is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 16. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible.
